Horizon Zero Dawn Limited Edition

Horizon Zero Dawn Limited Edition
Platform: PlayStation 4
Year: 2017
Region: PAL

Horizon Zero Dawn was released in Europe on March 1st 2017, exclusively for PlayStation 4. Three different physical versions were available: a regular edition, a Collector’s Edition that came with a Aloy statue, and a Limited Edition.

The Limited Edition comes in a sturdy paper case with a nice artwork on the front showing the main character Aloy and one of the robotic beasts roaming the world.

Pulling the tempting red ribbon that protrudes from the side slides open the box, like a drawer from a cupboard.

Inside are two items. First of all, a steelbook containing the game itself. The steelbook has the same art as the slipcase, but with an additional decoration on the back.

The inside of the steelbook is decorated as well with a nice panoramic views of one of the game’s environments.

Secondly, there’s a small artbook. It contains a nice collection of artwork including environments, characters and weapons from the game.

Lastly, some downloadable content is also included. An exclusive PS4 theme, two outfits and two bows, and the Banuk Traveller pack and Carja Trader Pack.

All in all a more than decent edition. Both the outer case and the steelbook look great and the art book, though a bit low on content and small in size, is a nice little extra. For just a little more extra money than the regular version of the game, this Limited Edition is a good alternative for collectors who don’t have the money or the space for the more extravagant Collector’s Edition.
