The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV is the fourth and final installment of this subseries within the Legend of Heroes franchise. Much like the Early Enrollment Edition of the previous game, the physical version, released in 2020, came with some small extras.

This edition is titled The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV Frontline Edition. Included in the case are two discs, one for the game and one for the soundtrack, Echoes of Erebonia. It contains five tracks, which are listed on the disc itself.

Then there’s a small, softcover artbook, called The Black Records, featuring character artwork, illustrations and backgrounds.

Lastly, the game has a reversible cover. The front has the same drawing as the cover of the artbook, while the back shows one of the illustrations of an ensemble of characters.

In conclusion, a nice physical edition for the same price as a regular game. Aside from the one on PlayStation 4, a Nintendo Switch version is also available, although the soundtrack in that one comes in the form of a download code.
