Bravely Second End Layer Deluxe Collector’s Edition
Bravely Second End Layer Deluxe Collector’s Edition
Platform: Nintendo 3DS
Year: 2016
Region: PAL
Bravely Second: End Layer, the sequel to Bravely Default, was released in February of 2016 for Nintendo 3DS. Aside from the regular edition, a ‘deluxe collector’s edition’ was also made available.
The first thing that draws the attention is the sheer size of this edition: for a handheld game the box is simply huge. The whole case has a matte black color, with the title of the game and the text ‘deluxe collector’s edition’ printed in shiny silver letters on the front. Pretty stylish. Too bad they had to put the age ratings on there.
The box folds open like a suitcase, revealing a beautiful, large artwork on the inside of the lid. The contents are neatly placed in compartments.
There are two layers: the first contains the game itself, the soundtrack CD and a figurine of Agnes, one of the game’s protagonists.
The figure represents Agnes Oblige, the game’s protagonist, and is referred to as ‘Agnes Special Mini Figure’.
The soundtrack is titled Bravely Second End Layer Original Soundtrack Mini Album. On the front is a nice artwork of some of the game’s main characters.
The bottom layer holds a big artbook which contains over 500 artworks in both black and white and color.
The artbook has a softcover but its size is rather impressive, and the prints inside look really nice.
All in all, this is a really nice looking collector’s edition which comes with some great extras. The impressive artbook in particular should appeal to fans of the series. It’s costs double the price of the game itself, but for collectors it may very well be worth it.
