The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker Limited Edition
The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker was released in 2003 in Europe. Early buyers could receive a limited edition gold version, that includes a bonus disc with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Master Quest.
This edition doesn’t come with any extras except for the slightly different case and the extra disc. Back then this was the first time the Nintendo 64 classic Ocarina of Time could be replayed on a newer console. Master Quest was never released outside of Japan before, so it was a pretty nice extra.
This version isn’t extremely rare or valuable, but like many Zelda games, there’s always demand for it. Ocarina of Time and Master Quest have been remade in 2011 for 3DS, and this year Nintendo is launching a new version of The Wind Waker on Wii U. But there’s something special about a first print of a classic game, and an item Zelda collectors will likely proudly display on their shelves.
