Enslaved Odyssey to the West Collector’s Edition
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West Collector’s Edition was released in Europe in 2007 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Aside from the regular version, there was actually another edition available in the UK called the Talent Pack. But the version right here is the one that was released in the rest of Europe, simply called the Collector’s Edition. It features a paper box and includes an art book as well as a soundtrack cd.
The paper box is the same size as a regular game case, only a bit thicker to make room for the art book.
This is a hard cover art book containing 48 pages that show different kind of art, from character designs to vehicles to environments. The art for this game is very nice, so this is a cool little extra.
The soundtrack cd is actually inside the art book, which is kind of strange, but it does seem space efficient. Personally I’d rather have it in a separate sleeve, but it’s not a big deal.
That’s basically all this collector’s edition has to offer. This may seem a bit lacking, but I have to add that this edition was priced quite low: around 70 euros at the launch of the game. So considering it was offered at roughly the same price as a regular game, it doesn’t seem such a bad deal. To summarize: nothing too amazing or special here, but this is reflected in the price.
