Life is Strange Limited Edition
Life is Strange Limited Edition
Platform: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC
Year: 2016
Region: PAL
Life is Strange was initially released digitally in five episodes over the course of 2015 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. In January of 2016, a boxed version containing all episodes was released for the same platforms. A limited edition containing some goodies was also made available.
The limited edition comes in a paper box made to resemble a scrap book, with in the center a polaroid photo of Max Caulfield, the game’s protagonist.
Inside are a couple of items. First of all, the game itself, in a regular PlayStation 4 case. The box-art looks identical to the one on the paper box. Inside is also a code to register your copy on Square Enix’s website.
Also included: a small, hardcover art book with 22 pages. It’s made to look like a journal belonging to Max Caulfield, with photos, stickers, drawings and magazine clippings inside. It’s based on the journal in the game, which functions as your inventory guide.
A soundtrack CD is also included, it comes in its own jewel case and contains 22 tracks. The cover design is made to look like it’s been hand drawn.
The limited edition also contains commentary from the directors.
All in all, this is a pretty neat edition for its price. It’s cool that the soundtrack comes in its own case, and the artbook, though small, has a nice presentation.
