Yakuza Kiwami 2 Steelbook Edition
Yakuza Kiwami 2 Steelbook Edition
Platform: PlayStation 4
Year: 2018
Region: PAL
A full remake of the PlayStation 2 game from 2008, Yakuza Kiwami 2 released in the west in August of 2018, exclusively for PlayStation 4. The retail copy comes in a steelbook case, just like the remake of the first game that came out last year.
Upon removing the protective sleeve, the steelbook features a clean, high key black-and-white image of the game’s protagonist (Kiryu Kazuma) and the antagonist (Ryuji Goda) on the front and the back respectively. The game’s title is on the spine in red lettering.
The inside of the case has been decorated with a night view of Kamurocho, the franchises’ main backdrop.
So, all in all, pretty comparable with the steelbook edition for the first Yakuza Kiwami. One interesting difference is that the first one was published by Deep Silver, while part 2 was published by Sega. What’s good though is that they made both editions at least somewhat similar, so it kind of looks like a complete set together. A nice looking item at a rather attractive price, and especially worth it if you already own the steelbook of the first game.
