Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, the ninth entry in the action RPG series by Falcom, originally came out in 2019 in Japan and in 2021 in the west. A few years later, in May of 2023, a PlayStation 5 version was released in the west as well. As usual with games published by NIS, there was a collector’s edition and a deluxe edition with several smaller bonus items.
First, there’s a soundtrack, one of the last ones that still came on a CD before the publisher switched to download vouchers.
Obviously, there’s also a disc containing the game itself.
As always, there’s also a small art book titled Monstrum Memoirs, although it’s mostly an overview of the title’s characters, both main characters and ‘monstrums’. But there’s a couple of artworks at the end as well.
It also has a reversible cover, with different artworks on the front and back.
